Assignment Capsule As a Finance Director you will provide leadership that combines broad vision with a critical eye for internal operations and quality assurance. The Finance Director contributes to the success of Humana’s strategy by formulating and executing the organizations strategy, driving for exceptional results, motivating managers and associates. * Provide leadership and direction for all functions related to Health Plans for a specific market area.

  • Optimize Business performance by coordinating with the network, sales, compliance for all business purposes, and will provide leadership and direction for all functions

  • Develop strategies which will increase sales for retention and for growth

  • Understand Humana’s marketplace, industry and Medicare regulatory environment assuring all functions are running properly

  • Build a cohesive team by establishing clear direction, goals and responsibility.

    Role Essentials

  • Prior demonstrated leadership working in a Market Operations environment

  • 5 years in finance or health plan operations

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial trends

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Solid relationship building skills

  • Strong understanding of complex provider contracting arrangements including global risk and value based contracting

  • Superb strategic planning ability

    Role Desirables

  • Graduate degree preferred

  • Knowledge of Humana’s internal policies, procedures and systems

    Reporting Relationships You will report to Market President. This area is under the leadership of the Chief Operating Officer.
