Assignment Capsule The Provider Engagement Consultant will provide consultation services to develop and maintain positive relationships with health care providers that result in optimal outcomes for providers, members and Humana. You will work in an assigned geographic area on the western slope of Colorado, including Grand Junction and outlying areaso Liaison with health care providers for performance management of maximization of revenue, cost management, achievement of quality incentives and membership growth strategies<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> o Coordinate and facilitate regularly scheduled provider meetings to discuss operational and strategic initiatives and improvements o Collaborates with other teams to achieve established metrics o Collaborate and coordinate with all internal partners in order to develop professional & comprehensive information, ideas and plans with providers o Accountable for follow-through & follow-up o Influence the provider's opinion of Humana and our organization
Role Essentialso High school diploma or equivalent<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Professional certification in healthcare related area and/or direct Medicare managed care experience
o Must reside in the Grand Junction area
o Strong relationship building skills in a provider relations/network environment
o Prior experience in health care, including either doctor’s office, hospital or other health plan related setting
o Knowledge of CPT & HCC coding systems
o Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
o Proven analytical skills
o Excellent verbal & written communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills
o Ability to be a self-starter, ability to work independently, be self-directed and handle ambiguity
o Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
o Ability to regularly travel about 50% within western slope of Colorado, including Grand Junction and outlying areas
Reporting Relationships You will report to Market Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
