Be a part of Service Operations –provide perfect service and guidance to members.

Humana is seeking Customer Care Specialists for our contact center who will be taking inbound calls and answering questions about eligibility, benefits, claims and other common questions about health insurance policies and guidelines. In this highly visible role, we look to your experience, enthusiasm, and unrelenting customer focus to help us achieve high levels of customer service excellence as you educate and problem solve for our members, providers and agents regarding insurance-related health care issues.

  • Receive, document and resolve customer inquiries by using established best practices

  • Build lasting relationships with Humana’s members

  • Work within a team in a professional environment and be accountable for your own actions, emotions and relationships

    Role Essentials:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3 years of customer service experience

  • Must be available to work an 8 hour shift Monday-Friday anytime between the hours of 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. (Central Time) with the flexibility to work weekends based on business need

  • Must have availability to work overtime as needed and during peak season, October through February (Can include Saturday or Sunday)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask within several computer systems while on the phone

  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality

  • Aptitude for quickly learning and navigating new technology systems and applications

  • Must have basic computer skills/typing ability

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle a constant volume of phone inquiries

    Role Desirables:

  • Inbound call center customer service experience

  • Prior experience in the Medicare or health insurance field

  • Demonstrated and proven analytical, organizational, team building and listening skills

  • Ability to take initiative, adapt to changes and display team spirit
