Assignment Capsule

Humana is seeking a Technology Applications Consultant that will develop an understanding of Humana’s business needs and translate those needs into technological systems, design specifications and solutions. You will partner with other associates to analyze, design, develop, implement and integrate moderate and complex business systems that will optimize business outcomes. * Provide development and ongoing software support and issue resolution

  • Build a standards-driven, scalable, secure and dynamic portal for the information delivery of specific based applications

  • Partner with other business areas within Humana to understand application requirements and develop programming specifications for development staff

  • Develop enhancements, resolve issues, and participate in production releases

    Role Essentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience

  • Working knowledge of C#, .NET, MVC, and Automated Build Processes

  • Comprehensive understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile (Scrum), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Object Oriented Principles, and Design Patterns

  • Excellent Communication Skills Role Desirables

  • Working knowledge of .NET Core, Web API 2 (microservices), Sitecore, Helix, and Service Oriented Helix Architecture ( SOHA )

  • Development experience using Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Nuget Packages, Content Management Systems, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, JSON, HTML 5, and Dependency Injection Reporting Relationships You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Information Officer.
