Humana is seeking a Tech Leader that will serve as a demand manager in the managed services environment, delivering service offerings for the Infrastructure area of IT. The Tech Leader will work play an active role in developing standard products/services that will populate an infrastructure service catalog. They will work with Solution Engineering, Infrastructure leaders, Infrastructure Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering and Business Technology leaders, and the architect community to understand service capabilities to perform budget management, demand forecasting and service publishing. The Tech Leader will work closely with their consumer and delivery teams to ensure consumer’s requests are met and delivered with the highest quality. Work with leaders and team members to improve processes and team productivity. The Tech Leader will be expected to develop deep-rooted expertise to provide long term knowledge continuity within an assigned area.

  • Be a core team member for the demand services activities as they apply to consumer requests.

  • Work with managers, architects, developers, business areas, and team members to evaluate, estimate and represent service requests.

  • Guide consumers through the service management process and lifecycle.

  • Develop IT related service offerings in a manner that supports ITI’s enhanced consumer experience goals.

  • Develop infrastructure forecasts through interaction with IT Project Managers and IT Leadership.

  • Understand infrastructure components and possess skills to provide guidance.

  • Ability to articulate technology into business terms.

  • Work with managers, architects, business users, and team members to evaluate and provide team estimates for project and work requests.

  • Advance the adoption of new techniques, tools, and processes to streamline delivery capabilities.

    Role Essentials

  • Experience in an infrastructure environment and/or software applications

  • Experience with the technologies in use in the infrastructure or application(s)

  • Ability to communicate technology into business terms both verbal and written.

  • Experience with infrastructure components including compute, storage, network, data base, telecommunications and end user technologies.

  • Ability to navigate and work within a matrix organization.

    Role Desirables

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8 years of related experience

  • Knowledge about cloud technologies, such as AWS and Azure.

  • Experience managing and creating budgets.
