Be a part of the Care Delivery Organization-- as a Medical Assistant, you will engage our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. PIPC is seeking a Medical Assistant to make a difference in people’s lives that provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons under direction of a physician in Medical Centers.
1. Active Medical Assistant Certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or as a Registered Medical Assistant/RM. Note: If you are currently certified, you must be certified/registered from one of the five programs recognized by Humana. If not, you are required to complete within one year from hire date, one of the five Humana approved certification program offered by the following Organizations:
American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP)
American Medical Technologists (AMT)
At least one year of clinical experience as a professional Medical Assistant providing direct patient care with the ability to complete a Humana approved certification within one year the from hire date
Medical Assistants shall meetallof the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Experience in a fast pace/high volume clinical environment
Experience with MS Outlook
Basic Computer knowledge
Must be a team worker with excellent communication skills
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB ROLE DESIRABLES
Experience with Electronic Medical Records
Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
Experience with HEDIS
Bilingual English/Spanish- Must be able to speak, read, and write in both languages without limitations or assistance
Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from the following: American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association, American Registry of Medical Assistants, National Association for Health Professionals, and/or American Medical Technologist
Interview Format As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology called Montage Voice to enhance our hiring and decision-making ability. Montage Voice allows us to quickly connect and gain valuable information from you pertaining to your relevant skills and experience at a time that is best for your schedule.
If you are selected for a first round interview, you will receive an email correspondence (please be sure to check your spam or junk folders often to ensure communication isn’t missed) inviting you to participate in a Montage Voice interview. In this interview, you will listen to a set of interview questions over your phone and you will provide recorded responses to each question. You should anticipate this interview to take about 15 to 30 minutes. Your recorded interview will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
Testing for role
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
