  • Assignment Capsule *

    As a Finance/Accounting Consultant you will: perform forecasting and analysis of data in the areas of cost accounting, financial reporting and planning, profit improvement initiatives on various departmental projects, and using the results you generate to create financial reports. You will identify ways to re-engineer current reports and process. You will also act as a Finance liaison, partnering with associates and leaders from other business areas on special projects.

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Manage departmental activities to ensure accurate and timely accounting statements, financial and statistical reports, filings and data

    • Develop methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing financial data and preparing complex analyses

    • Ensure departmental adherence to corporate guidelines, performance standards and all applicable laws and regulations

    • Perform General Ledger review and analysis, account analysis and reconciliation, support the month-end close process, and prepare re-class entries when needed.

    • Prepare and present financial data and reports to management for review and decision-making.

    • Compile financial data for monthly inclusion in internal/external reporting, billing, costing, and staffing updates to Humana At Home Senior Leadership.

    • Maintain and review various system reconciliations between source systems and financial and operational reporting processes.

    • Update monthly profit and loss statements, projections, and budgets. This will include variance analysis and reconciliation.

    • Assist Senior Leadership in estimating staffing needs and reconcile FTE (full-time equivalent) and HC (Head Count) versus budget, forecast, and staffing models.

    Role Essentials

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

    • 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting fields.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Access and other multi-dimensional databases.

    • Experience with dashboards, financial models, formulas, and working with large amounts of data in Excel.

    • CPA or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field Role Desirables

    • Prior health insurance industry experience working in a Finance/Accounting related area.

    • Working knowledge of Hyperion, Oracle, and Access are a plus.

  • Reporting Relationships *

    You will report to a Finance Director. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Financial Officer.
