Role: Frontline Leader/RN - Bilingual Location: San Juan, PR
Assignment Capsule As a Front Line Leader-RN you will hire, lead and develop clinical and non- clinical professional associates. Collaborate with other health care givers in reviewing actual and proposed medical care and services against established guidelines. * Report trends
Develop system-view recommendations
Implement appropriate actions to control trend
Create and conducts provider outreach initiatives
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Recommend services for Humana Plan members utilizing care alternatives available within the community and nationally
Recommend alternatives if appropriate using your knowledge of clinical protocols
Identify members for specific case management and / or disease management activities
Monitor case management activities, post-discharge calls, discharge planning and pre-assessment of elective admissions
Must have an active RN Puerto Rico License with a minimum of 3 years in any of the following areas:
-ICU -Emergency Room -Medical-Surgical -Operating Room -Cardiac -Home Health
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Member of CPEPR (Colegio de Profesionales de Enfermería de Puerto Rico)
Informal Leadership Experience
This position is full-time Monday – Friday from 8am-6pm. It may be necessary, given the business needs, to work additional hours
Ability to work independently under general instructions and with a team
Ability to work with strict timeframes and under pressure
Knowledge of Word and Excel with ability to do basic formulas and create spreadsheets
Bilingual English/Spanish - able to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance
This role will conform to US holidays as opposed to Puerto Rico holidays
Health Plan experience
Master degree in Nursing or related field
Valid driver’s license and/or dependable transportation necessary
Prior Medicare / Medicaid experience
Previous experience in utilization management, discharge planning and/or home health or rehab Reporting Relationships
You will have 15-20 direct reports, and you will report to a director. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
