Assignment Capsule

Humana is seeking a go-getting Individual to sell the Humana Medicare Advantage Plans as well as traditional insurance products. This will require building relationships with Humana’s customers, external business partners and within the community.

  • Meet with eligible participants with the goal of enrollment and presenting product information for Medicare Advantage, Medicare PPO and supplement plans

  • Market long-term care, life insurance, and other specialty products for the senior population to sell and promote Medicare products.

  • Conduct one-on-one and group presentations.

  • Generate your own sales leads from various sources.

  • Apply strong sales acumen skills in generating and closing leads.

    Role Essentials

  • High School Diploma

  • Active Kentucky Health & Life Insurance License

  • Motivated self-starter, with excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proficient in Desktop Tools/Microsoft Outlook & Mobile Applications

  • Demonstrated focus on community based marketing

  • This role is part of Humana’s Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits

    Role Desirables

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree

  • Bilingual skills English and Spanish. Must be able to speak, read and write in English and Spanish without limitations or assistance.

  • AHIP Certification

  • Sales experience in a managed healthcare setting

    Reporting Relationships

    You will report to a Sales Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.

    Additional Information

    Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
