Assignment: Care Delivery Organization- Variable Staffing Pool (VSP)

You will transport patients from place of origin to the appointments in a courteous and timely manner. Role requires a high commitment to service excellence.
* Ensures vehicle is safe for operation – including wheelchair lift and all seatbelts and straps
Pick up and return of patients per schedule given by dispatcher through electronic means (Smart phone and/or tablet)
Stays in contact with Transportation Dispatchers/Supervisor via cell phone using Bluetooth device for any assistance and/or route adjustments
Works flexible shifts as work dictates. The schedule is M-F 7:00am to 5:00pm but time can vary depending on daily work flow .
Ensures that vehicle it is mechanically safe and clean
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Basic Computer and Smart Phone/Tablet
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to transport members in a safe, timely and efficient manner
Ability to work a flexible schedule with hours/shifts, location/hub (for coverage), with the potentials for overtime working weekends and evenings based on business needs
Good driving record and knowledge of streets and addresses in the driving area
Ability to follow policies and procedures
Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Must have basic mechanical skills i.e. ability to check and fully inspect their vehicles daily
Strong relationship building with medical staff, peers, managers and employees
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB
Role requires second level background investigation/screenings including: MVR, drug screen, and fingerprinting
This role is part of Humana’s Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver’s license Role Desirables
Bi-lingual (English/Creole) language fluency preferred. Basic verbal language testing and remediation course available
Professional experience in passenger transportation
Wheelchair-bound and/or patient transportation services experience
Customer Service experience
MS Outlook and Word
You must be flexible to be available for any shift during these hours:
Any shift that occurs between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday – Friday
Shifts can vary depending on daily work flow
