The Senior HR M&A Professional identifies, researches, analyzes, makes recommendations and negotiates certain criteria of potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures to support the organization's growth objectives. The Senior HR M&A Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior HR M&A Professional makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's associate experience, culture and profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. Must be able to summarize and concisely present analysis and recommendations to HR and deal team colleagues. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives, prioritization and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 2 years working with mergers and acquisitions

  • Previous experience with integration and execution with high levels of multitasking

  • Strong relationship building and working with various levels of leadership

  • Track and monitor risk

  • Developing project plans

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work across the business and partnerships

  • Ability to identify lessons learned and process improvements in real time to support continuous HR M&A infrastructure

  • Previous experience presenting and communicating to various levels of Leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet business deadlines

  • Attention to detail in a meticulous environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of experience involving M&A-type activity from due diligence through integration

  • Working knowledge and can speak to Change in Control, Employee Retention and other M&A-related agreements. Exposure to other pay compliance issues such as FLSA, state and local work hour and minimum wage requirements is helpful.

  • Previous experience in various aspects of HR (Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, etc)

Work-At-Home Requirements:

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$93,000 - $128,000 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
