Role: RegionalChief of Staff (Strategic Consultant)

Location: New Orleans or Baton Rouge LA
Humana is seeking a Chief of Staff who will work side by side with our Gulf States Regional President to implement and track numerous initiatives across multiple functional areas. Responsibilities would include project management, driving bid strategy, production of market review presentations, organizing and setting cadence for meetings and operational strategy reviews.
Serve as a strategic consultant to internal clients by analyzing each situation; recognizing and identifying opportunities for the marketing and operations teams to contribute to the development of corporate and market programs.
At the direction of market leadership, develop comprehensive project plans, presentations and tactical approaches to accomplishing assigned market objectives.
Understand and help to analyze market financial and membership performance, contributing ideas and approaches to improving performance.
Developing and executing comprehensive retention and loyalty programs by analyzing the competitive arena and formulating programs that exploit competitor weaknesses.
Developing market capabilities for sustained, integrated consumer interaction programs and building consumer and customer advocacy and loyalty.
Creating partnerships and alliances with compatible companies to build and strengthen brand equity and promote company growth.
Possess a deep understanding of segmentation and/or market segment opportunities, product development and product positioning; able to direct the implementation activities for a matrix team while constructively and positively managing relationships and achieving assigned goals and milestones performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity.
Deep understanding of strategic planning, direct response marketing, customer loyalty and retention programs, and primary and secondary research processes
Strategic thinking and planning capabilities; organized and detail-oriented
Successful project management experience in healthcare or a similar service environment
Strong database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software proficiency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Enthusiasm and motivation essential; a confident change-agent; strong selling and presentation skills (oral and written)
Ability to mentor and manage associates in customer loyalty and service-oriented behaviors
Willingness to manage and prioritize diverse projects
Ability to travel occasionally (25%) for meetings and to present information as required
Graduate degree preferred
Project management certification and/or training
You will report to a Regional President.
