Be a part of the Financial World - Provide direction while improving financial processes and procedures.

Humana is seeking an Accounting Analyst who will perform analysis of data in the areas of general ledger accounting, financial reporting and planning, profit improvement initiatives and on various departmental projects, using the results you generate to create financial reports. You will also act as a Finance liaison, partnering with associates from other business areas on special projects.

As an Accounting Analyst use your technical Accounting skills as well as provide excellent internal customer service related to these activities:

In this role you will:

  • Create, record and reconcile daily/weekly reports – inventory receiving, cash/checks, credit cards

  • Create, review and track journal entries and accruals for monthly financial close

  • Reconcile and validate Postage, Inventory, Accounts Receivable, Depreciation and/or COGs expense for various Lines of Business along with related adjustments

  • Track and update daily, weekly and monthly financial metrics and reports

  • Complete special Accounting projects with varied and complex components

  • Some administrative duties include making copies, scanning, faxing, etc.

  • Perform ad-hoc and routine duties associated with Accounting

  • Reconcile expense and rebate reports

    Role Essentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field or four plus years Accounting experience

  • Comprehensive Accounting and General Ledger knowledge

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10 panel drug test

    Role Desirables

  • Graduate Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business-related field

  • General Ledger Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Access

    Reporting Relationships

    You will report to the Accounting Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Financial Officer.
