Humana is seeking an Actuary to provide leadership in measurement and evaluation of risk, as well as recommendations for action, consistent with established actuarial methods and standards. o Manages small staff of actuaries. Duties include associate development, mentoring to technical professionals, project prioritization and the effective communication of findings to key stakeholders. o Directs the development of sound applications and models necessary to price Wellness, ASO, and Level Funded Premium (“LFP”) o Applies knowledge and expertise of pricing to influence improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of models o Collaborate with Product Development on new & innovative products o Oversees required product related compliance testing o Collaborate and provide support to Underwriting for benefit customizations and on key accounts o Develop best practices/guiding principles for product pricing assumptions o Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results including technical reports, summaries and quantitative analyses o Requires communication and presentation skills, working independently with non-actuarial business partners including Product Development and Regulatory Compliance

Role Essentials * Bachelor’s Degree
FSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations.
Strong communication skills
Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending) Role Desirables
Deep Humana specific or Line of Business (LOB) knowledge
Independent consulting ability
Ability to translate technical issues for non-Actuarial audiences
Ability to think holistically through a project
Health industry knowledge
