The Manager, Site Reliability Engineering maintains, integrates and implements software applications within the organization. The Manager, Site Reliability Engineering works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Site Reliability Engineering coordinates software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. Ensures proper controls are established and maintained over test and production systems and software source code. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

This position will be accountable for managing resources who have accountable for the strategy for application monitoring at Humana. This position is expected to design an architecture which is industry-leading and which is able to support changes in monitoring technology as the application monitoring software market evolves. The position will be expected to adapt Humana's monitoring strategy for public and private cloud environments, and the position will be expected to build monitoring principles into CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) pipelines. The position will be expected to design and implement a solution which integrates User Feedback with Machine Feedback to provide a fulsome Continual Service Improvement solution for Humana.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 6+ years of technical and 2+ years of management experience

  • Experience coordinating software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications.

  • Experience with ensuring proper controls are established and maintained over test and production systems and software source code.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
