Assignment Capsule

Humana is seeking a Tech Leader that will serve as a subject matter expert in system performance and system interactions, and delivery methodology for our clinical application domain . They will work with solution engineering leaders, infrastructure leaders, business technology leaders, and the architect community to understand and advance the performance and resiliency strategy they are promoting within the clinical domain and teams . The Tech Leader will work closely with their Manager to ensure solution build timelines are met with the highest quality and to improve delivery methodologies, processes, and team productivity. The Tech Leader will be expected to develop deep-rooted expertise to provide long term knowledge continuity within the clinical area.

  • Lead the delivery activities within the performance and resiliency team .
  • Work with managers, architects, business users, and team members to evaluate and provide team estimates and impacts for performance and resiliency work items .
  • Develop and promote a performance testing strategy in coordination with the quality assurance organization and dependent service providers to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks.
  • Mentor individuals and teams on the usage of performance management tools and processes , working with resource managers on potential coaching situations.
  • Advance the adoption of new techniques, tools, and processes to streamline delivery capabilities pertaining to application build quality and performance .
  • Audit and provide feedback to team members regarding standards adherence, design principles, and expected patterns of work.

    Role Essentials

  • Four years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure

  • Experience with application performance management technologies and their incorporation into a development lifecycle
  • Experience with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and triaging of multiple application tier contributors to application latency and availability
  • Experience with the setup and utilization of APM (Application Performance Management) toolsets

    Role Desirables

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 6 years of related experience

  • Familiarity with load testing practices and tools such as Load Runner
