The Principal Emerging Technology Engineer assists in the analysis of the requirements for the enterprise and applying emerging technologies to support long-term business objectives. Responsible for researching, collecting, and disseminating information on emerging technologies and key learnings throughout the enterprise. The Principal Emerging Technology Engineer provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience.
The Principal Emerging Technology Engineer researches and recommends changes to foundation architecture. Supports research projects to identify and evaluate emerging technologies. Interfaces with users and staff to evaluate possible implementation of the new technology in the enterprise, consistent with the goal of improving existing systems and technologies and in meeting the needs of the business. Analyzes and researches process of deployment and assists in this process. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.
The Principal Architect – Digital Engineering will be accountable for the development and execution of an integrated, enterprise wide API strategy. This strategy will be developed and executed in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, The Digital Center of Excellence, Solution Engineering, Business Technology Leadership and other important stakeholders including various business leaders. The principal architect will also be accountable for transforming the Digital Engineering processes to incorporate DevOps and CICD. This transformation will be achieved in collaboration with the Digital Engineering leadership and enterprise leads for DevOps.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree, in some instances a Master's or Doctorate's degree, and 10+ years of technical experience, or equivalent, and 2-5 years of project/people leadership
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/equivalent experience
5+ years of technical experience in digital engineering
5+ years of leadership experience with enterprise scale digital transformation initiatives
Master’s degree in computer science/business administration/equivalent experience
Experience with the development and execution of an enterprise API strategy
Experience with transforming development teams to incorporate DevOps and CICD
