As a Data Scientist, Clinical Informatics, you’ll apply your analytics and practice management expertise to add value to the work we’re doing at Transcend Insights.

  • Apply understanding of clinical and financial metrics to various data sets to help in the creation and implementation of clinical and business strategy

  • Analyze and interpret patient, nursing, or information systems data to improve Clinical outcomes

  • Apply knowledge of clinical practice management to analytics processes to drive clinical efficiencies and effectiveness

  • Develop, implement or evaluate health information technology applications, tools, processes or structures to assist with clinical data management

  • Communicate clinical practice information to systems engineers, analysts, or designers using object-oriented models or other analytic/scientific techniques.

  • Create business intelligence visualizations that help drive business decisions, clinical outcomes, and corporate strategy

  • Use informatics science to design or implement health information technology applications to resolve clinical or health care administrative problems.

  • Identify, collect, record or analyze data that are relevant to the clinical care of patients.

  • Design, develop, select, test, implement, and evaluate new or modified informatics solutions, data structures, and business intelligence tools

  • Apply knowledge of computer science, information science, and clinical informatics theory to various business or clinical problems

    Role Essentials

  • 2 years’ experience applying analytics, statistics and/or modeling expertise to clinical data sets

  • 2 years’ experience in Clinical Practice Management

  • Experience in financial analysis of clinical practices

  • Experience with large data sets and/or the analysis of patient-level healthcare data

  • Experience using EMR data for financial and quality reporting.

  • Deep understanding of financial and quality metrics pertaining to value based care including HEDIS and clinical utilization/cost.

  • Ability to create operational or clinical strategy as a result of analytical findings,

  • Ability to partner with diverse audiences and lead enterprise-wide initiatives, including the ability to work with highly skilled, variously trained colleagues (e.g., physicians, nurses, engineers, and business development professionals)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong academic record in healthcare administration or other clinical oriented discipline

    Role Desirables

  • Masters or advanced degree in healthcare administration

  • Course work completed in Clinical Informatics
