As the Market Manager you will supervise Medicare Sales Representatives who sell the CarePlus portfolio products offered to the Medicare population. In this role you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding assigned monthly sales goals and membership growth targets for your team’s aligned territory. You will also partner with and support existing and prospective lines of business distribution channels to promote products and provide education.

  • Effectively recruit, onboard, develop and motivate sales associates.

  • Foster a cohesive and supportive team environment

  • Manages the day to day activities of a sales team to achieve sales targets.

  • Set performance expectations and sales goals, evaluate results and provide on-going feedback, coaching and mentoring.

  • Provide input in the development & implementation of strategies to achieve sales performance targets.

  • Monitor sales results and trends to hold associates accountable for achieving growth targets.

  • Ensure agent adherence to all CMS and CarePlus regulations, marketing guidelines and company policies.

  • Collaborate with provider contracting to strengthen provider partnerships by identifying opportunities for membership growth.

  • Build and maintain productive long-term relationships with distribution partners, agencies and brokers to ensure successful business outcomes.

  • Educate and train brokers on value proposition and product portfolio.

Role Essentials

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Active state health and life insurance licenses

  • Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community

  • Provider marketing and relationship building experience

  • Prior experience in the health solutions industry

  • This role is part of Humana’s Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits. Role Desirables

  • Prior experience with medical, life insurance and dental product positioning

  • Bilingual in either English/Spanish or English/Creole with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance

  • Prior supervisory experience in a sales environment

  • General understanding of economic, financial and operational concepts Additional Information

    Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
