The Corporate Switchboard Operator (Administrative Assistant 2) follows established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective secretarial support to an office, business unit, department, or other organization. Answers telephones, screens calls, and routes them appropriately to ensure callers are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately.
The Administrative Assistant 2 will:
Manage incoming phone lines
Answer incoming calls, greet callers, provide information, answer routine questions, forward calls to the appropriate area for assistance
Update contact lists as appropriate
Maintain and update the corporate phonebook
Support HR by performing duties, such as typing, proofreading and filing
Other duties assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word & Excel
Excellent communication & customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Capacity to maintain confidentiality
Strong organizational skills
Ability to balance multiple initiatives and prioritize workload
Associates or Bachelor's Degree
Previous inbound call center experience
Ability to type 30 WPM
